The Myth
Heel pain is different than plantar fasciitis.
The Reality
Heel pain is actually plantar fasciitis that occurs at the heel. However, “plantar fasciitis” can occur anywhere on the plantar fascia all the way up to the toes. No matter where you experience your plantar fasciitis the exercises in this video will eliminate your pain.
What is plantar fasciitis?
Technically, plantar fasciitis is inflammation due to small tears of the plantar fascia, a thin layer of tough tissue supporting the arch of the foot. Runners often experience plantar fasciitis outside of the heel [see diagram].
Are plantar fasciitis related to heel spurs?
The only relation is that they are both caused by the same poor mechanics of the lower leg and foot. Plantar Fasciitis causes heel pain, heel spurs do not. Once you do the treatment for plantar fasciitis, you will still have heel spurs. However; you will be free of pain.
What is the best treatment?
Plantar fasciitis should be treated with the exercises recommended in this video that will correct the poor mechanics that lead to this painful condition. |

| “ Dr. Amis' video is truly a ‘picture worth a thousand words.’ After two years of heel pain and failed attempts at other remedies, I finally got the video. Not only did I learn how to do the exercises properly, I understood the logic behind why they work, which motivated me to stick to the regimen. I've been pain-free for several years.”
